The Paper Mill Food to Open in Liverpool
The Paper Mill Food consists of four restaurants under one roof: Firepit (Meat & Seafood), Charcoal Joe’s (Lebanese Charcoal Chicken), Shepherd’s Lane (Cafe & Dessert Bar) and Georgie’s (Pizzeria & Bar), and is destined to become Western Sydney’s favourite food precinct.
The development was designed to reflect the cultural diversity of Sydney’s vibrant west and offers a café/bakery/dessert bar, a pizzeria, charcoal chicken and burger outlet, and a refined but casual a la carte restaurant specialising in meat and seafood cooked over charcoal and in the wood-fired oven.
Located in a restored heritage building, the project in Western Sydney is brought to life by Coronation Property. Dating from 1868, the building that was once Australia’s largest paper mill has been transformed by leading designer Paul Papadopoulos of DS17 (Beta Bar, Bel & Brio). Period features including original brickwork and the distinctive saw-toothed roof are retained, with contemporary updates in steel, glass and stone. Features include bespoke timber joinery, Carrara marble and custom cast iron sculpting resembling 19th-century ovens. An expansive hand-made mosaic tile floor is a highlight of the light-filled interior. There’s a variety of private rooms and flexible event spaces for family gatherings and corporate functions.
The Paper Mill Food opens to the public on Saturday 10 August 2019 and will be open seven days for breakfast, brunch, lunch, dinner and coffee. An extensive takeaway and delivery menu is also available.
